SPEAKER
Robert L. Vogel is a founding partner of Vogel, Slade & Goldstein LLP, in Washington D.C. His primary focus is representing plaintiffs with fraud issues under the False Claims Act. Since entering private practice in 1990, Mr. Vogel has represented more than 60 plaintiffs in cases involving health care, defense, and other types of procurement fraud.
- Mr. Vogel is co-chair of the Procurement Fraud Committee of the ABA Public Contract Law Section, and he previously chaired the ABA's Health Care Fraud & Abuse Subcommittee of the Committee on Criminal Litigation.
- From 1987 to 1990, Mr. Vogel represented the United States in significant False Claims Act cases as a trial attorney in the Department of Justice's civil commercial frauds section, which is the unit responsible for handling False Claims Act litigation throughout the nation.
- He has participated as a speaker or chairperson in more than 50 professional conferences on the False Claims Act, qui tam cases, health care fraud, and procurement fraud, including training conferences for DOJ attorneys.
