About The Speaker
Angel Wright-Lanier is a grants management and local government professional. She developed and managed the grant reporting process for the City of Raleigh, North Carolina and served as a successful federal lobbyist for the city securing millions of dollars in funding.
Mrs. Wright-Lanier is the assistant city manager for the City of Goldsboro, NC. Mrs. Wright-Lanier is directly responsible for Human Resources, Community Affairs, Information Technologies, Planning, Inspections, and the Paramount Theatre
Prior to accepting the position at the City of Goldsboro, Mrs. Wright-Lanier was the director of grants management solutions for eCivis, Inc., a national grants management software company, Mrs. Wright-Lanier worked with government agencies and nonprofits to help them design and optimize grant management processes.
Mrs. Wright-Lanier holds a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Tennessee, a master's degree in public administration from the University of Tennessee, and a master's degree in management information systems from Strayer University.
Additionally, she earned a certificate in nonprofit management from Duke University and a certificate in municipal administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
